Beacon Mission Huge Success

Today saw the society go on a beacon mission as a group for the first time in a long time and it was hugely successful. The first I've ever seen personally where the soc worked as a well oiled machine. Very Happy

Slight adjustment to Soc Rules

This evening (ADST) in a meeting with the Firsts it has been decided to remove the skills barrier to entry and revert back to the old promotions structure for the time being, in order to help facilitate new members.

Society proves itself worthy of it's name

Today saw the postphonment of the final Land Grab conflict and Mindark replacing it with a Robot event in PvP areas 3 and 4.

Today saw the Defenders live up to their name, we survived by using our cunning. No there was no full on fighting of the droids or the PK'ers instead we used our brains to survive the event.

DOC gets a Headquarters

Well its taken 12 months to do but Defenders of Calypso finally has a headquarters

Website Security Upgrade

Unfortunately due to the recent sabotage of the society's team speak channels. It has been necessary to tighten up the website's security to avoid a similar problem here.

I am personally saddend by having to do this and hope that this will be the last defensive step required and that we will now be able to move on in a forward direction.

Mini Land Grab Decided

User List maintenance

Today I have gone through the entire user list and have removed old users, this has been done so that the memberlist is up to date, and will be done from time to time to keep the board up to date and useful for the society's members.

Should an ex-member to return they are more than welcome to rejoin the soc website.
